Artist statement

As a singer/songwriter music is expression, painting to me feels very much the same as music…yet completely different.

I have always seen art as a way to connect with other people, that’s my ultimate goal, and art is about feeling, not staying within the lines.

I see my art as expressing feeling and creating a mood…the mood can be whatever you choose, whatever it makes you feel is right, I create my art..but you decide what it means to you.

My art always gives me the feeling that I’m putting my songs on canvas, some of my paintings, such as “Lavender” share titles with songs I’ve written.

I hope that in at least some small way, my paintings can help you in finding a peaceful place to go, within yourself.

We are all so different…yet really all the same, we are all part of the same family.
